Sofia

Hi there, I'm Sofia and I currently live in San Francisco. I grew up in the suburbs of San Francisco, and ventured down to Santa Barbara for college where I met Diana and Nora, the two lovely ladies I share this blog with. I "whistle while I work it" at Benefit Cosmetics, an exceptionally creative beauty brand founded in San Francisco in the 70s. My office environment lives up to the quirkiness of the brand--pink walls, mannequin heads, and makeup illuminate the space. When I'm not coordinating eCommerce at Benefit, I am probably watching the latest trendy HBO show, cooking up a Pinterest recipe for my boyfriend, doing DIY projects with my talented sister Kyra, checking out the newest exhibit at the deYoung, or exploring avant-garde events this unique city continues to serve up. We would like to use this space to share with you some of our favorite niches and neighborhoods in our cities!

Diana

Hello! My name is Diana. I am a Californian through and through. I grew up in Orange County, but spent five years in Santa Barbara, where I met Sofia and Nora (yes, the Sofia and Nora of this blog) and we became the greatest of friends. Although we don't live in the same city anymore, we talk every single day! I've lived in Los Angeles (specifically Santa Monica) for the last two and a half years working in art galleries that deal primarily with 20th-century master works and contemporary art. Art history has always been a huge passion that I have followed without cease. I knew I wanted to work in the art world when I was a little girl. My mother was an art historian herself and she constantly filled my mind with stories and images that have stuck with me to this day. My mother also imbued open me, her love of Halloween and Miyazaki. I love love love Halloween and holidays, German Expressionist films, the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, yoga, running, the beach, short stories, and modern plays! I am a beer and wine girl who sometimes drinks a mojito and I have a boyfriend who is talented and bright and loving. I have the greatest friends in the whole wide world and I just want to share some of the many things I love with you!

Nora

Howdy!  My name's Nora.  I was born and raised in Texas but I gave a lot of my heart to Santa Barbara, especially because without living there I would never have met Diana and Sofia, two of the kindest, most loving, and quirky girls that I am so lucky to count as the closest of friends.  I don't know how I'd handle corporate life and living in a new city, Austin!, without talking to them daily (hourly).  I'm a bit of a jack of all trades in my career, I'm one of three women in an office that works predominantly in the field of sports, so I tend to love all things comfortingly girly in my free time - with the bit of geekery thrown in that Sof, Di, and I share.  Namely, my healthy obsession with Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones, to name a few.  You can usually find me Netflix marathoning, riding horses, going to yoga, cuddling my adorable goldendoodle, or seeking out delicious baked goods, if I'm not making them myself.  Diana and Sofia know practically every little thing about me so I can't wait to share some of our favorite things about where we live with each other, and you!
